Customer quality, root cause, verified closure

I lead customer quality and root-cause problem solving, and I’m a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Most quality problems are solved at the wrong level; my work is finding the one the customer is actually living with, and driving engineering, production and test teams to a fix that holds.

At Alstom I worked on customer quality for BART’s Fleet of the Future, a ~$2.2B program for 775 railcars. I led 8D investigations, drove customer non-conformances and corrective actions to verified closure, and chaired the customer and internal quality forums.

I then spent nearly three years as Project Manager on the $4.9B LAX Automated People Mover, a driverless system with 44 vehicles and 6 stations. I owned customer requirements, change control and test/commissioning readiness: a pipeline of ~30 risks, issues and changes, carried through integration, testing, commissioning and operational-readiness handover.

Before Alstom I worked as an independent quality and process-improvement consultant in San Diego, leading root cause analysis, 8D problem solving and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for clients across multiple industries — part of more than a decade of root-cause and process-improvement work. In 2026 I built DeciBrief, an AI decision-support tool that turns messy notes into a clear recommendation, options, trade-offs, ranked risks, unknowns and next actions.

The work I care about is customer and supplier quality, hardware and NPI programs, and continuous improvement — in semiconductors and storage, AI hardware, aerospace, EV/mobility and medtech. I’m based in Irvine and work across Orange County, LA and San Diego.
